Laptop Won’t Boot Troubleshoot

If your laptop is not turning on or booting, follow the steps below in order to make it work.

Check Power Supply – Ensure charger is plugged in and outlet works.
Remove External Devices – Disconnect USBs, monitors, etc. If the laptop is connected to a Docking Station, remove it and try to boot it.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Hold the power button for 10–15 seconds.
- Wait 30 seconds, then press again to turn on.
Check for LED/Battery Indicators – If none, try a different charger.
Try Safe Boot:
- Press power, then immediately press F8 or Shift+F8 repeatedly.
Listen for Beeps or Fan Sounds – These can indicate hardware issues.
Still Dead? – Report to IT for hardware diagnostics or replacement.
